Beecher Hudson (Louisville ARC Wheels) addressed the Conference at Louisville, KY.	Beecher Hudson, President Beecher Hudson, CEO/Executive Director of Louisville Wheels is President of KPTA.  The President presides at the KPTA meetings and serves as an ex officio member of all committees and has the general supervision and management of the affairs of KPTA with the guidance, approval and cooperation of the Board of Directors. The president shall make the deciding vote when an action of the Board results in a tie.  Additionally, Hudson is the Kentucky Delegate to Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) and keeps the KPTA membership informed of the events happening on the national level through distribution of Capitol Clips.  Check back often to read Capitol Clips from CTAA or contact Beecher Hudson, President  via email to KY Public Transit Association's web mail.
Shirley Cummins (RTEC) at the RTEC office (MV Signal).	Shirley Cummins, Vice President Shirley Cummins, Executive Director of Rural Transit Enterprises Coordinated RTEC is the Vice-President of the Kentucky Public Transit Association (KPTA).  The Vice President shall act in the absence or disability of the President during KPTA meetings.  Cummins maintains the web site for KPTA.  Submit articles and news to the Vice President's Mail.
Pam Shepherd (FTSB), hard at work during the KPTA Conference at Covington, KY.	Pam Shepherd, Secretary Pam Shepherd, Executive Director of Federated Transportation of the Bluegrass (FTSB) is Secretary of the KPTA.  Shepherd establishes a quorum for each meeting, keep the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors, maintains a register of the membership and other records as is necessary to have concerning the affairs of KPTA. The Secretary is custodian of the Corporate records and will see that all notices are duly given (when directed by the President) in accordance with the provisions of the by laws. Pam Shepherd is the Treasurer of KPTA.  The Treasurer shall have charge and custody of and be responsible for all funds and securities of KPTA and shall receive and give receipts for moneys due and payable to KPTA from any source whatsoever. The Treasurer shall deposit all such moneys in the name of KPTA in such banks, trust companies, or other depositories as approved by the Board. In general, the Treasurer will perform all the duties incident to the office of the Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or by the Board of Directors In addition to duties as the Secretary/Treasurer of KPTA, Shepherd publishes the quarterly Newsletter for KPTA.  The Newsletter is included in the Library section of this web site.  Contact Pam Shepherd, Secretary of KPTA  via email to KY Public Transit Association's web mail.

Governmental Affairs Director           Oliver H. Barber and President Beecher Hudson

The KPTA Board has combined the positions of Governmental Affairs Director and General Counsel so that one attorney-at-law firm may perform the duties and responsibilities of both offices.   The office of General Counsel is appointed by the Board of Directors, following the submission of a Request for Proposal to select an attorney or Law Firm to perform such duties as prescribed by the Board of Directors.  The Attorney will continue to hold the appointive office at the discretion of the Board or pursuant to the terms of any contract entered into between the Board and the Attorney.  The KPTA Board is pleased to appoint The Honorable Oliver H. Barber, L.L.C. to this position.  Barber will conduct legal matters and represent KPTA's interest in Governmental Affairs, at the discretion of the Board.
